Dan. 9:1-23

 

1. Prayer that gets heaven’s attention grows by steadfast practice. 
A. Turn panic into prayer.
B. Turn powerlessness into prayer.

 

2. Prayer that gets heaven’s attention is generated by studying His precepts.
A. Prayer is a response to the Word.
B. Prayer is restating the Word.

 

3. Prayer that gets heaven’s attention guides us in seeking Him personally.

“Where the mind is not filled with the Bible, the heart is not filled with prayer.”

A. Prayer moves from studying His precepts to stating petitions.
B. Prayer moves from stating petitions to seeking His presence.
C. Prayer moves from seeking His presence to silence in His presence.

4. Prayer that gets heaven’s attention is grounded in His sovereign plan.

Prayer is not getting God to adjust to our will but God getting us to adjust to His.

Prayer is not getting my will done in heaven but in getting heaven’s will done on earth.
