A. The roots of pride.

 

The root of pride is grounded in the failure to know that every good thing comes from the Lord.

 

Our lives should have one big footnote: “This came from God. Not my doing.”

 

The root of pride is also grounded in that we assume the good life will last forever.

 

B. The fruits of pride.
  • Competitiveness
  • Ingratitude 
  • Entitlement
  • Overconfidence
  • Self-will
  • Stinginess and exploitation
